Our Founder
Jessica Renee Bognar
After undergoing open-heart surgery in 2003, I quickly learned the importance of body conditioning. Discovering Pilates and learning how to breathe and move properly became life-changing! After incorporating Pilates principles to my training I began to notice a huge difference in my performance. Beginning with Classical Pilates I quickly found myself wanting more and mixed Pilates with my strength training. I have been STOTT Pilates certified in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels for over 14 years and TRX Certified. My goal for Trek House is to provide individualized care to the Houston community.

OUR INSTRUCTORS
Meet our dedicated team of certified Pilates instructors who are passionate about helping you achieve your fitness goals.

Alana Mueller
Growing up in Hawai’i I spent most of my time outdoors; hiking, swimming, surfing, biking, you name it. These activities bought me happiness but over time I realized how “hard” I had been on my body. This realization brought me to Pilates. It became a way to heal, restore and increase my strength without risking injury. Pilates is not only exercise and physical therapy but also a mental therapy, aligning body, mind, and spirit. When I moved to Houston, I decided to explore my passion further by enrolling in the STOTT Pilates mat and reformer certification. My goal as a teacher is to create an environment that focuses on connecting mind and body through the power of breath, body awareness and strength in a welcoming community.

Sheree Burns
Sheree grew up in Houston and attended Galveston college while briefly living there after high school and then moved back to Houston in 2014 as a dental assistant which was great but left me with back issues and poor posture habits for someone so young and I didn't find Pilates until about seven years later and immediately fell in love and became "addicted" to it so to speak. I then became certified as a group personal trainer through NASM and then started my Pilates curriculum with Balanced Body in mid 2022. I truly believe everyone should be doing Pilates and love instructing others and making them feel good in their bodies!!

Her fascination with functional movement and mind-body connection developed off stage as she studied methods of rehabilitation and strengthening to prevent burnout. She began training through ALIGN in 2025. She currently teaches reformer, mat, and PilaTease (choreographed mat work). In her classes, you can expect fun, options to explore potential, and supportive instruction. She also manages ALIGN Sawyer Yards, Houston's largest Balanced Body Teacher Certification Training Center.

Angie Kinsel
I’m Angie Kinsel, a certified Peak Pilates instructor passionate about helping you connect with your body and achieve balance, strength, and flexibility. While I didn’t know it at the time, my journey to becoming a Pilates instructor began over 20 years ago when my mom and I took classes together. I’ve experimented with so many different things on my wellness journey, including half marathons, hiking, yoga, and strength training. For years I competed in the NPC, including making it to the finals of the National Championships. I found my way back to Pilates when my husband purchased a reformer for our home. After getting reacquainted with the fundamentals I realized how much it improved my body and overall well-being. I specialize in classical Pilates, and my approach focuses on building a program that meets your unique needs and goals. Whether you’re new to Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, I aim to guide and inspire you every step of the way. When I’m not teaching, you can find me with my family (husband, 3 kids, 3 dogs, 1 cat!), traveling, reading a book or working on a Christmas needlepoint. I believe movement is medicine, and I’m here to help you feel your absolute best—mind, body, and soul. I look forward to seeing you on the mat or reformer! Let’s move together!

Ricky Ortiz
Ricky has been a Texas Licensed Massage Therapist since 2018. Skilled in various helpful modalities, it brings me joy to have the ability to help people live their best, most pain and stress-free lives.
